The Project
This 1908 Ridgewood Victorian had original galvanized half-round gutters that had outlived their purpose by about 40 years. The owners didn't want to lose the period-correct visual line, but they were tired of paying for annual repairs. They asked specifically about copper.
We specced 6-inch K-style seamless copper gutters formed on-site to match the home's 185 linear feet of fascia, with matching round copper downspouts and copper leader-head accents at the front porch corners. Copper develops a natural patina over decades, ages gracefully, and carries a 50-year material lifespan — a meaningful warranty on a 100+-year-old home.
The full system was rolled, hung, soldered, and tied into existing drains in a single working day. The owners now have premium drainage that will outlive the next several roofs.
